AA4047 Filler Alloy
- Composition: 12% Si / 88% Al
- Advantage: The melting temperature of the filler is very close to the melting point of the base metal, facilitating efficient brazing.
- Filler Material: AA4047
- Melting Temperature: 1072°F – 1080°F
- Tube Material: AA3xxx
- Base Metal Melt Point: 1166°F – 1212°F
- Total Temperature Window: 94°F
Alloy 153 (Silicon Zinc Aluminum) Filler Alloy
- Advantage: The melting temperature of the filler is further from the base metal, minimizing erosion risks during the brazing process.
- Filler Composition: Si / Al / Zn
- Filler Melt Point: 1004°F
- Tube Material: AA3xxx
- Base Metal Melt Point: 1166°F – 1212°F
- Total Temperature Window: 162°F
